Community Outreach: Science Rendezvous at Western University
Saturday, May 11th, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm, you can find the Children’s Museum team at Science Rendezvous at Western University.
Learn about whales’ unique filter feeding by examining real whale baleen from our collection. Compare beluga vertebrae to other on-land creature and experience how pollutants like plastics affect the animals that call the water home.
“Western University is hosting its third annual Science Rendezvous festival on Saturday, May 11th, 2019! Come out and share in the joy of discovery with our hands-on activities brought to you by Departments across all faculties, various on-campus groups, and local organizations who will be taking part in the celebrations. Complete a Science Chase for prizes! Admire our exciting stage shows with fun and engaging demonstrations from various scientists. This event is for all ages, does not require registration, and is free!
Activity booths and daytime shows will run from 2-6 pm, followed by an evening program from 6-9 pm consisting of food vendors, night shows, fireworks, and star gazing.”
