October 5, 2022 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Art Attack

Discover the connection between art and science! What happens when you add salt to watercolour? How do gravity and viscosity impact paint splatter? What happens when you mix hydrophobic materials with water?

October 12, 2022 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Magnetic Slime

Experiment with magnetism and non-contact forces as you create your own magnetic slime. Using iron oxide powder, discover what happens when your slime comes into contact with a strong magnet.

October 19, 2022 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Hydraulics and Gears

Explore machines and mechanisms as you build cranes, bulldozers, and more! Experiment with simple machines, gear systems, and hydraulic systems, and learn how these machines are used to make daily tasks easier.

October 26, 2022 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Chemistry Lab

Explore the properties of density and buoyancy by making your very own lava lamp. Investigate chemical reactions as you watch liquids bubble, fizz, and change colour.

November 2, 2022 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Exploring Seeds

Learn about plant anatomy as you take a microscopic view of seeds, stems, and leaves under a Zoomy microscope. Discover what seeds need to germinate and grow, then plant your own seed to take home and observe.

November 9, 2022 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Circuits

Experiment with Makey Makeys, energy sticks, and squishy circuits. Explore the fundamentals of circuit building and the roles circuits play in our everyday lives. Learn about the components of a circuit and explore unique circuit-building materials.

November 16, 2022 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Gravity Painting

Use the pull of gravity to create art! Explore how forces affect motion as you experiment with pendulums and drip painting. Discover new paint patterns, textures, and colours as you combine physics and art.

November 23, 2022 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Winter Wonder

Make your own snow indoors! Using chemical reactions, experiment with the conditions required to melt snow. Design and build a miniature snow globe to take home.

November 30, 2022 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Coding Bots

Explore coding basics by experimenting with Ozobots and Spheros. Draw sequences and commands for your Ozobot to follow. Program your robot and teach it to spin, zigzag, and more!

December 7, 2022 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Super STEAM

Create explosive art using chemical reactions, engage in ooey-gooey experiments, and practice fizzy science. We're bringing back all the fan-favourite activities for this larger-than-life, super STEAM event!
