STEAM: Paper Chain Dragons

Learn how to fold, staple, and construct paper heart dragons while learning facts about the Lunar New Year! Many people who celebrate the Lunar New Year decorate their windows with paper cuttings to express enthusiasm for the new season or new year. Paper cuttings are used in homes to decorate walls, doors, lamps, and lanterns and are often presented as gifts, especially since pasted near entrances can symbolize good luck. See how many paper chains you can loop and link together in a stable chain, and get creative with the pattern you make as you celebrate together.

All programs are included in general admission and are free for members. Admission can be purchased in advance online or by walk-in at our front desk!
