In preparing for your future, you may wish to include the London Children’s Museum in your estate plan. Legacy Gifts made to the London Children’s Musuem, no matter how large or small, ensure the Children’s Museum can continue to educate and inspire children and their families for generations to come.
Gifts in your Will
Remembering the London Children’s Museum in your Will is both meaningful and surprisingly simple. It allows you to leave a larger gift than would be possible during your lifetime.
You can designate a specific amount or a percentage of your estate. Your estate will receive a charitabe tax receipt that can lower or even eliminate estate taxes, taxes that would otherwise reduce what you leave to your heirs.
Sample Wording for Gifts in your Will.
- I direct my Executors to give the sum of $___ or ___% of the residue of my Estate to the London Regional Children’s Museum for use for highest priority needs as determined by the Directors of the London Regional Children’s Museum
- I direct my Executors to give to the London Regional Children’s Museum the sum of $___ or ___% of my residue to be used for the purpose of ______, provided that if such a purpose ceases to exist or ceases to be provided by the London Regional Children’s Museum, then the legacy shall not fail, but the Directors of the London Regional Children’s Museum shall use such a legacy for a purpose which most closely resembles the purpose set out above.
Gift of RRSP/RRIF
By designating the London Children’s Museum as the beneficiary of your retirement funds, you will receive a charitable tax receipt to offset any taxes owed. The gift would go directly to the Children’s Museum.
