Help Us Win $20,000!
For over 40 years, the London Children’s Museum has been a cherished part of our community. It is a place where children and families come to play, grow, and learn together. The backdrop of countless family memories, the London Children’s Museum is where children explore their creativity, learn at their own pace, indulge their curiosity, and most importantly, play!
Children need play now more than ever. Play relieves stress, builds resilience, and supports positive mental health. Play spreads joy, creates wonder, and helps children understand their world. We miss the sounds of children playing within our walls, and we know our visitors miss us too. Thankfully, during this time apart, we can stay connected virtually.
We need your support now. While we are closed, we have shifted to supporting children and caregivers remotely by providing engaging online museum experiences and learning resources. We are also planning for a future when we can resume hands-on learning programs in person. Please make a gift to the London Children’s Museum today to support our online programming and help us prepare to re-open when the time comes.
Children’s physical worlds have become so small during this pandemic. We need to give them the chance to explore our wonderful world from the safety of their homes. We know positive early childhood experiences are essential for healthy brain and relationship development. We are committed to providing children these experiences, even while our physical doors are closed.
“I know I’m not alone when I say we’re running out of ideas to keep the boys occupied and engaged during this pandemic. This afternoon, our beloved London Children’s Museum posted a recipe for making at-home dinosaur fossils. My children loved it so much. After we made triceratops fossils, I made imprints of the boys’ hands. We will be keeping them as souvenirs of our time spent at home together as a family.”
– Sarah Baldwin, London Children’s Museum member
We know children cannot wait to visit the museum again. We need your help to prepare for this re-opening while still giving children more opportunities to play from home. Staff members are working hard to inspire children’s curiosity online and plan for our future, but we cannot do it without you.
The London Children’s Museum remains dedicated to our mission, despite our loss of revenues and admissions. With your help, we can continue to provide children with valuable learning experiences for years to come. If you are able, please make a gift today.
