Thank You Johansen-Larsen Foundation
“This was a great opportunity for my students to participate in a fun and educational field trip. The subsidy allowed all my students to come and learn, regardless of their family’s economic situation.” – Chris, Grade 1 Teacher
Thanks to support from the Johansen-Larsen Foundation, the Children’s Museum is providing 32 classrooms in need with hands-on learning experiences this coming school year.
Education programs at the Children’s Museum bring the Ontario curriculum to life through the use of real museum artifacts, interactive programming, and outdoor exploration. They are designed and delivered by a Children’s Museum Ontario-certified teacher and rooted in the museum’s child-led philosophy.
Programs are built on the understanding that children are competent, capable and curious, and learning happens when they play. Education programs at the Children’s Museum provide students with an immersive learning environment and resources they may not otherwise encounter.
Thanks to the Johansen-Larsen Foundation for ensuring all students in our community have access to hands-on learning experiences!
