Under the Stars

Blast off into a Members Only Evening featuring space-themed activities and after-hours discovery!  

Galaxy Dance Zone
Head to the Annex and move like a meteor in our spacey dance zone! Glow like a comet with glowsticks and shine like a star as you show off your best moves.

DIY Constellations
Step into the Star Lab to explore the cosmos and design your own constellation. Once your creation is complete, we’ll project it across the Star Lab sky to share with fellow explorers.

Make a Mission Patch
Ready for launch? Design your very own Artemis II–inspired mission patch to wear as you explore!

STEAM: Seed Starters
Plant it, water it, watch it grow!
In this life-science STEAM investigation, visitors will design and make their own biodegradable plant pot before planting a seed to take home. Explore how soil, water, and care work together to support growth, and learn what plants need as they move through their life cycle.

Open Studio: Shape and Sculpture
Layer, Shape, Sculpt and Balance!
Inspired by real-life sculptures in celebration of Museum Month, visitors can design and engineer their own upright creations using colourful reused and crafty materials. Layer beads, cardboard, yarn, foil, and more onto a standing dowel to experiment with height, balance, and form. Take your sculpture home or add it to our Discovery Lab gallery for others to admire.
