Igniting Curiosity Through the Power of Play

You are here

For over 40 years, children and their grown-ups have been exploring, discovering and learning together at the London Children’s Museum. In addition to our galleries and exhibits, we offer hands-on activities and programs designed for children and their families to learn and play together. All programs are drop-in and included in the cost of general admission. No registration required.

Early Movers

This weekly program invites families to play, learn and take risks while exploring thoughtfully selected materials, special guests and spaces that inspire movement. Facilitated by our Early Childhood Educator, this program offers a variety of playful experiences that engage grown-ups and children alike, while promoting healthy physical activity from an early age. View dates on calendar

Early Years Play Dates

Designed and delivered by an Early Years Educator, Early Years Play Dates provide a safe and secure environment for children to explore the limitless possibilities materials have to offer. Children and caregivers are invited to slow down, think magically, create and test theories, and engage in meaningful interactions with the world around them. Early Years Play Dates are an opportunity for children to develop critical physical, social, emotional and cognitive skills in an environment designed to inspire curiosity and wonder. Learning Garden

From May - September, the Children’s Museum invites families to get hands-on with nature in our outdoor Learning Garden. This program involves visitors in every aspect of gardening, from planning and planting to pruning and harvesting. Explore seeds and soil, make and taste new foods, and get up close with living things. View dates on calendar.

Star Shows

Blast off into space in our Star Lab. Become an astronaut, explore the universe, and learn about the stories of the stars. Star shows offered throughout the day. Check our front desk on arrival.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) education is critically important for young children. When children learn about STEAM, they are learning to indulge their curiosity, ask questions, test ideas and think critically. During STEAM Weekends, the Children’s Museum combines authentic materials, real artifacts, and local STEAM experts into a hands-on program that inspires families to learn and play together! STEAM programs offered every Saturday and Sunday. View calendar.

STEAM is generously supported by 3M.
