Wow - What a journey it’s been!
Today, we are overjoyed to share an incredible milestone in our mission to open the new London Children’s Museum at 100 Kellogg Lane. This past September, we issued an appeal to our community, announcing our urgent need for $1 million to ensure we could open our doors on time.
We are thrilled to share that together we've raised $1.7 million!
This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without you - our donors, supporters, volunteers, champions, and community members. This is your children’s museum. You have helped build a state-of-the-art educational and cultural destination unique to this region. With eight innovative exhibits designed to spark curiosity and wonder, this new space will serve millions of children and families for years to come.
We are especially grateful to Canada Life and anonymous donors who stepped forward to offer up to $500,000 in matching funds. Their generosity helped make this appeal a success.
The journey to our new home has been decades in the making. As Canada’s first children’s museum, we’ve welcomed over 3 million children and families through our doors. Since our founding in 1977, the London Children’s Museum has taken root in city parks, storefronts, an old school, and now, a reimagined factory. This new home will build on our rich history, creating a space where innovation and creativity will thrive like never before.
On behalf of our team, Board of Directors, Campaign Cabinet, and our future visitors, thank you.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the new London Children’s Museum, where your next adventure awaits!
With heartfelt gratitude,
Kate Ledgley
Executive Director
